I've been trying to sell my Tacoma for a while now. It has been listed under book, and trade in even for $9500. KBB has it valued $12,825 and Clean trade in for $9,600. I either get super lowballs or people telling me its overpriced with out looking at it. So I figured I'd come here to see on some input. Thanks

    Here are the details

    https://boise.craigslist.org/cto/d/2007-toyota-tacoma-4x4-access/6515780593.html

Your truck looks fantastic for 325k miles, but I'd never pay that kind of money for something that high in mileage, even if it is a Tacoma. That's just me though.

Great looking truck, but almost 13K for a 11 year old truck with 325,000 miles is insane.
THose miles will scare away 99% of buyers. Trade is the only way you will most likely sell your truck.

Oh for sure, I first had it listed at that book value and with no interest I've been slowly dropping it down to $9,500 now with still not much interest. Been trying to trade for a little bit too but that seems to be rough as well...in this price range not many people are down for trading being they may still owe and whatnot. Thanks

Curious, why are you trading it in? Wanting something new? Different? I'd be tempted to run it until it dies, looks like its been well taken care of

You’ll have to trade it in at a dealership somewhere to get anything out of it .. I think anyways

Yea I really like this truck and its been really well maintained, but I am wanting to upgrade from sleeping in the bed to getting a slide in camper...and possibly pulling a boat with having a slide in as well. I don't want to put this pickup thru that so I've been looking for older powerstrokes.

The one dealership that I did go to after test driving the pickup there that I wanted, they came back and said they would give me $1500 for my trade in. That was very laughable so I left. I haven't tried to go to another dealership to trade it in, Ive just been trying to sell private party or trade private party.

    * I think too most lots would just send it straight to auction with the amount of miles, at least here. So they arent willing to actually pay trade in value for it. They didnt test drive it or anything.

I'm surprised KBB is $13K for that kind of mileage, plus the 4CY, plus the manual. Lots of Tacoma guys like manuals, but that's not a great selling point. I'd say you already answered your question given you haven't sold it. The truck looks great though.

I would like to have it around but in order to get something different, something has got to go. Wish I had the funds to not have to sell to buy haha.

I would keep the Tacoma and buy the other truck you need. You kept the Tacoma nice from what I can see on the picture. I think the only way to get close to KBB is if it was totaled. (sorry to say!)
I have an 08 with 278xxx and just recently hit a deer. I was worried insurance would total it. Insurance told me they were repairing it, estimate is at 5400.00. Insurance said they were at 30%... If 5400.00 is 30% of the total, I highly doubt I would get $16,500.00-17,000.00 for my truck.

It's tough but with that mileage I'd be happy with the service you got from it, drive it and start saving up for a new/newer truck. It's real value is pretty much to you alone with that mileage. A newer vehicle to accomplish what you need and still having a reliable beater 4x4 would be boss. Does the newer vehicle have to be a Tacoma or would some other less expensive vehicle serve your purposes? The 3rd gen Tacoma prices are nuts. For what it's worth I just got $7500 trade for my '06 DCSB Prerunner, 6-banger auto, mileage of 150k and in good condition including a new frame. KBB said $12,500 private sell. Good luck, take your time to make a good decision.

I sold my stock 07 AC OR 4x4 for $5,200 w 351k miles last year. I had it listed like you, dropped it eventually to 5,900. I wrote that in windshield paint and had a lot more interest but ended up selling for $5,200 to a military vet. Hindsight, I should have lowered it even more in appreciation of his service. If you want it sold, drop the price and sell it to a vet. You’ll thank yourself down the road.

Don’t buy into “your 300k mile truck is worth $$$$$”. You have an enthusiast group here and you’re dealing with the general population. When was the last time you saw a thread saying “I just paid $9,000+ for a 10 year old truck w over 300,000 miles on it!!!”

In any case, yourself a favor, get aftermarket TPMS. All five can be had for under $200 if you shop around. No one wants to buy a truck w MILs on..
