Benford Brewing Presents TW "Smoked Meat"

Benford Brewing will host Tacoma enthusiasts at their brewery in Lancaster, SC. Benford Brewing is a small craft brewery located on a farm in the South Carolina country. They've agreed to host the "Tacoma World Smoked Meat".

The idea behind the "Smoked Meat" is that TW members smoke whichever foods they like to share with other members and enjoy Benford's craft beer. The smoked foods possibilities are endless. Let's see what kind of creative foods we can come up with!

Benford Brewing, as stated is out in the country. Tacoma World folks are encouraged to camp out, bring your RTTs, your tents, folding tables, and folding chairs!

This meet is a casual and informal setting and the Brewery is easy going and staffed with some great folks. We'll likely have a bonfire to all hang out and chat, eat, and drink.

This "meat" is planned for June 23rd, 2018. Plan on starting at 12:00 noon, if you need to come early to set up, please let me know so we can make arrangements.

Don't smoke meat? No problem, we'll have enough to go around I'm sure! In additional to folks smoking meat, we'll need sides to go along for lunch and supper. We will be having a pig for a picking (Pat - Yes, we named the pig Pat), so please let us know if you can help throw down for Pat....see spreadsheet link at the bottom of this post.

We will also be taking donations to pay for 3 port-a-johns for the weekend. Let me know if you're willing to throw down for this. If not I'll wait at the door....$2 to stand, $3 to sit.

I think this is obvious, but must be said, please be a responsible guest and respect the Brewery and be mindful before driving if you plan on leaving.

Please reply with your interest and if you intend on joining us! If you're looking for a fancy pants, uppity, hipster brewery, this isn't your jam!

UPDATE: There will be a corn hole tournament! If you have boards and bags, bring them!

Also, bring fire wood!

I love my TacomaWorld Black Mountain shirt. It's a great memento from that meet. My wife even has a hoodie from it.

Let say I’m 70%. Gotta see if I can get off call for work.

 

I'm guessing we would be smoking the bigger ticket items beforehand and bringing them day of, and then smoking quicker, easier things while there.
