Poor thing has been sitting for more than I anticipated it would be when I parked it in August. Five weeks and I should be able to put parts on that have piled up since then lol

    Hi All,
The hubs and I just picked up this little beauty for $3,700 (including a detail and a quick run through service).
    It's a one owner 1999 2.7L 5-speed with 140,000 original miles. We have a set of 31 x 10.5 x R15 BFG KO2's and 15 x 7 Pacer 162 wheels on order,
we're going to build a short bed platform and cover it with a Bed Rug for our two Labs, and we're searching for a used Snug Top or Leer type shell for it.
Can't wait for summer here in the Sierra!
    Pacer 162's Pacer162M.jpgkeepin' the old school look...kinda!

WOW, what a great buy. Congrats. I'm kind of partial to OEM wheels but that's a super nice truck. Are you going to keep it stock? One of the best things I did to my truck was to remove the fender moldings, if you do be prepared to clean compound the surface under them.

Thanks rybern! The OEM's were kinda beat up (pic in post above) and the tires were 10 years old. I kinda wanted a fresh start for this baby, but I also wanted to stay in the correct era with 15's. Not a fan of giant wheels on little trucks... It'll stay stock for now. Probably add a bluetooth stereo since I gave away my cassette collection...lol! Also looking for a used shell (challenging with a std cab!) so that my dogs can ride with me, but it might get a slight lift at some point in the future. This is a second vehicle that I'll use for the "dirty work" so that I don't trash my '16 Silverado.

But honestly, I LOVE driving it! It totally takes me back to my mini truckin' days back in the 80's!!! img041_2.jpg

Thanks man, totally lovin' your sweet looking ride! That's more like what I wanted (lifted extra cab) when I started my search 6 mos. ago, but my little "shorty" will have to do for now! :D

Completely Stock except for Ranch 5000 Shocks and Struts.
I have to say out of the first generation Tacomas. The 1998-2000 series is the best looking with that nice looking front end.

    Take it easy,
    Paul
