Wheels and the Fake Beadlock Trend...

For starters, I'm not criticizing the look of the fake beadlock ring. It's just not my preference. Unfortunately, it seems just about every popular and well designed wheel is be decorated as such. My own preference would be something that functions instead of the look of function, I don't want the extra flash. Yes, a lot of Tacos have a fake hood scoops, but they come like this from the factory and if you buy used you usually don't have too many options if the fake scoop bothers you, other than buying another hood or trading it out here on TW. As for "after market" wheels there seems to be less and less to choose from without this cosmetic decoration. I'm curious if there are any others that are wanting more options without the fake beadlock. New wheels are in the future after the lift, I just hope there are more options then, especially in bronze.

Have a wheel you wish they offered without the simulated look of a beadlock...?

Yep, I know those. Usually out of stock or out of my price range. I’m sure I could find something but definitely quite a bit out there with this look. Some of my favorites unfortunately have the simulated look. Don’t get me started on more wheels need to come in Bronze too...

 

Well good luck I guess . Outside of a 5 or 6 spoke design you're dipping into fad market again , and fake beadlocks are the in thing right now which why that's the big alt rim.

SCS has a shipment of rims coming in the 14th. If you're considering them, get them while they're hot.

dude. i agree. half these wheels with fake beadlocks i wish never had none. these go for scs wheels too. hear me out. just imagine a set of ray 10s with a flat lip...or better yet, a stepped lip. fuuuu...
