I have those, and I like them a lot. Granted, the dealer mark up is probably ridiculous. They do protect from my wife dragging her shoes across the painted sill. I need to get those decals from @rrentrop, they look great!

Bought door sills at parts dept. Think the price was $35-$40.

My favorite is “Market Adjustment” ... it’s always 1-5K

EDIT: I found one one of the ones during my vehicle searches.

I’ve enjoyed my door sill protectors as well. One would think these would be standard equipment

No dealer is going to throw away a sale over their add on crap... correction a Hyundai dealer did with my friend. But I was able to get rid of that BS with both my Taco and my wife's T4R. They wanted to add $1900 in tint, paint protection, pinstripe, nitrogen, and something else. I told them while shopping for my Taco that I wanted exactly "this" and not a single thing more or less. I ended up getting stuff for free because it was the closest they could find to the truck I wanted.

You just have to know how to deal and be willing to walk and go to the next dealer down the road. Let them know that you're working with multiple dealers.

My dealer wanted $89 for nitrogen. I told him he could have his nitrogen and just fill tires with air. He got a good laugh. I worked on him hard and got a fair deal, and I didn't pay for the tint, either.

Correct. Also, just because it’s on the vehicle, doesn’t mean the salesman is happy about it. The dealer/salesman I eventually purchased from had something similar. My first words to him (he came recommended) were that I was overlooking the dealership because of this. His response was, I disagree with those - pretend that isn’t even on there.

He turned out to be a salesman who wants you back as a repeat/referral customer.

Another dealer I looked at was so sleazy that they removed the factory window sticker and put it face down on the passenger seat for each vehicle... leaving this farce of a sticker as the only available window tag. I can only guess this tactic was to remove itemized comparisons and hide the obvious double dipping if the vehicle has factory protection packages.

I stopped by a dealer the other day to pick up some parts and I noticed a bunch of tacos, all trims and they all had a $$2k market adjustment added to the msrp!

And they gave nothing in return!

By those standards, you're lucky!! :D
