Still drooling over these bumpers... Just cant justify the extra weight for my DD.

In all seriousness, if I could get together a group of 10 or so people that would put a deposit on an aluminum one any chance that would that get the ball rolling on an alum version? Obviously the cost would be greater so that would also be taken into consideration.

If not, out of curiosity, if I were to order a steel version, would there be a way to just put a 2'' receiver in place of winch mount so I wasn't lugging around the winch 24/7? I also love my front receiver currently as it allows me to carry a cargo carrier up front for longer trips.

It sits about 8.5" away from the leading edge of the grille surround.

I won't be doing aluminum in the foreseeable future, sorry. Having a small shop, it's really tough to work with because of inevitable steel contaminates. :(

Hey Morgan, check out the front bumper on the cool truck of the day at Fort's Toyota Of Pekin FB page. Sorry it took me so long to get it installed but I was waiting on my other goodies to stuff in it. Great work and we will be talking soon on a rear bumper.

I’m not familiar, what are steel contaminates?

Oh and what if we got a group of 20? :D:fingerscrossed:

Dust some grinding steel...it gets everywhere lol. You even have to use dedicated grinders, wire brushes etc for aluminum that haven't been used on steel because you cannot mix the two. I haven't actually ever messed with aluminum before, just going off of info I've gathered.

Also will this bumper fit a 2006 if it's been facelifted?

Can’t say for sure but it should, the mounting parts should be the same for the bumper

I can't see why it wouldn't. I actually sold one to a guy who is doing the 12-15 update and looked over everything on his truck when he picked it up. All the mounting and critical fitment points were the same. Here it is mounted up pre face lift.

Thanks, glad to see the center hoop doesn't stick out super far like some other bumpers do
