What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Those look just like my GE Nighthawks without the branding.

The nighthawks are awesome, but one now has some moisture in it

 

I was considering those, they look nice and GE has a good warranty. I thought they covered them for like 5 years?

 

I should look into that. PO installed them but they’re def less than 5 years old

 

2000 Taco 2.7

Any of you guys have a clue what is going on with my truck I have replace the
coils
Plugs
Wires
Egr valve
Egr modulator
All vaccumn lines
Maf sensor
Fuel filter
Only run 93 octane with octane booster
I have also cleaned the throttle body and checked for vaccumn leaks.

I am getting a slight skip seems to be more under 2500 rpms like from idle to 2500. But sometimes skips above that, I have checked all coils and replace them again all plugs and wires are ngk. It is not throwing any codes I do not know what the hell is going on!!!it was doing this before I did all this. Any help will be appreciated!

3 year warranty I missed it by a couple months

 

Damn! I'd still give them a call and see if they're willing to give you a deal on one or something. Usually because these are 100% sealed because of the non changeable LED there is zero reason for them to fog.

 

Ordered Tire and washed the 1 1/2" of mud off of it. Tomorrow Ill get my tire fixed and buy some paint supplies for my wheels. Aughta be a good time.

I didn't believe you were either. Hell if you come down to AZ you can run a set of tires all the way from mud terrain to track slick and keep on going till you're on the cords haha. People down here run around on bald ass tires cause it doesn't rain often then act all surprised when theres a 90 car pileup after it sprinkles. And then have the nerve to change one tire.

 

What plugs did you use....

 

Can confirm, have driven on BFG AT drag editions when I lived in AZ

 

I went the dual battery route. 2-group 24F AGMs. One in the stock location and one in the bed.

There isn't enough room in the stock location. And in many of our trucks there isn't enough room anywhere under the hood for a 2nd one.

Dick Cepek also has a rebate that goes till May, I dont know if theyre stackable, but I'm going to try, making it 499$.

Most the reviews Ive read have been positive also, so thats a plus.

 

I have dual batteries in the stock location. Columbia Overland makes the kit, although I believe they shut down their business.
