Power went out for the last hour and the storm hasn't even started. Guess a transformer blew up the road from me. Parts of hopedale, Bellingham, Milford, and Mendon lost power haha. Just came back on. Hopefully it's not a sign of what's to come.

 

Looking at the map i'm right in the jackpot zone for snow. I decided to take tomorrow off. I know my company likely will not close, but I'm not dealing with people that don't know how to drive and a 24" snow drift at the end of my driveway.

Well been reading and searching for hours lol trying to pick the right tire for minimal weight gain if any and keeping as close to a 32 if not slightly larger as possible. Some options are a 285 (fingers crossed they wouldn't rub) Current options are as follows:

And the very final option is to just scrap the 17" wheel idea and get some 16s to use with the current ST Maxx's...........I have spent wayyyy too much time on this lol. Anybody have any experience with any of those tires? especially in snow conditions Thanks peeps.

Morning. I’m working from home today. Might have to go into Boston this afternoon to get my parents. My old man is having hand surgery this morning and depending on the conditions of the roads I don’t want my mom driving them home.

Falkens seem to be a pretty excellent tire all around. I am considering them or bfg's this spring when I bump up to 17"s. 265/70r17 to be specific.

 

I've had both and toyo at2's. Falkens are better than ko2's in almost every bad weather situation I've been in, snow, ice, mud etc... The toyos are the best but cost the most by far and aren't so much better than the falkens that they are really worth it unless you are really particular about your tire performance.

 

No word from work, so guess it's time to start the commute.

I currently have Cooper atp and they are a fantastic tire for the $. Still on my short list also.
I hit the sand more than the trails so a solid AT is All I really need.

 

I've never done sand as I am far from the beach, so I can't comment on the performance in sand. I feel like they have a better tread than the k02 tho and kick out mud/snow better, so I think it would be similar in sand, but like I said, I have no idea.
