Did you plasti dip your grill? If so have you had to re-coat it, or is it holding up well? Sick of the chrome mesh already.

I'm looking at doing this, except with Med. Dakars. Set the 6112's to 4/5 setting.

 

I have a '17 TRD Off Road and didn't like the chrome cheese grater grill on mine either. And everybody and their brother is doing the PRO grill. Thought I'd try something different. I found some rattle can paint at Walmart made for plastic. Painted the grill flat black and the Toyota emblem a metallic silver. I think it looks great. My truck is silver so I will just post a pic of the grill here. I imagine the same concept would look great with a grey emblem on a grey truck, too.

 

Looks great! Was just checking out some of the plasti dip threads getting ideas. Like your idea for the emblem.

 

I've never used plasti-dip, it may work just as well. I put about 5 coats on this and so far so good. Been about a month and 4 or 5 car washes and haven't noticed it coming off anywhere yet. Post pics when ya get yours done...

 

Are you running any skid plate? If so which one works with that bumper? Thanks

 

Already been done, here MGM painted toyota emblem on painted grille.

Thanks! Bone stock, other than the dipped wheels. Will give her a lift and new shoes eventually though!

 

Got mine for under 40 bucks. Sure don't see any reason to fork up the C-note for the official Toyota ones.
