I'm hoping to start my M16A4 clone build soonish but I'm trying to decide how true to life I want to get it, stick hard to A2 grip A2 stock, Matech Sight, KAC M5 RAS, the works, or go off the reservation a little bit and trick it out.

 

I vote for trick it out.

 

I'm sure no one will want these but it's worth a shot.

My take off stock sport wheels and the stock tires.

265/65/17s with 19,000 miles on them. Always rotated. 17 inch sport wheels NO tpms sensors with lug nuts if needed.

200 for wheels and 200 for the tires. OBO.

Crazy part is it might be cheaper to do the tricked out build than it would be to track down feature-correct M16A4 clone bits.

 

Does anyone have a set of HD Dakars or any expo rated leaf springs for sale? This axle wrap is really starting to drive me nuts.

After running the stock leaves for almost 2 years with a rear plate bumper I finally switched over to an Icon RXT leaf pack and WOW, rides so much better, no more wrap.

 

Is that the clunking noise I hear at take off?

 

Could be though I always noticed the clunk or thud more when slowing down and coming to a stop moreso than on take off but I don’t usually accelerate hard - just nice and slow so maybe just less noticeable for me. When you watch videos of axle wrap on YouTube they are often demonstrating it upon acceleration.

 

Clunk is usually universal joints .Thud when stopped is axle wrap because of bad leafs
