Hi everybody ! Have a 2018 Tacoma PRO (in white) on order, ...delivery any day now. The dealer told me that this vehicle is coming through with a factory installed roof rack... which I honestly don't care for... in my opinion seems to take away from the sleek and streamline appearance. Question is, is the roof rack removable and if so, will this create any problems (like leaks) sometime in the future ? Thanks, PA GUN PRO

you would have to replace the filler strip that goes along the roof. I just bought a rack to go on my OR and my only reason really was to break up the cement color of the roof. and I like the look of them. But Ill never use the rack. lol

It is removable and you'd have to cover / seal the holes that the mounting bolts go into along with the filler strip mentioned.

Make sure there isn't a gap before you leave the dealer ship. Pretty common for these to have gaps I had to bend my bracket for it to sit flat.IMG_0162.jpg

Good luck. Hopefully they will accommodate, but my bet is that they will tell you it can't be removed (because they make more money if you buy it with the rack). My dealer told me the same, so I told them to order me a truck without the rack.
