All we have right now is March 24 and 25. We need to iron out the details this week. I’ve never been there so I’m not sure about the camping permits

 

I would recommend getting a good size tent double the amount of people you will actually have in it. Standing up inside is nice for changing and moving around. Don't get a blow up mattress get a self inflating or memory foam mattress or use cots. much nicer. Kamp rite makes good mattresses.

 

I'll be in the market for one again at some point, which also reminds me. @ready6delta I think I found the other key to my old camper. I'll try to remind myself to have it with me at the next meet or if your near Newington I can hand it off to you somewhere around Ft. Belvoir.

 

For truck camping I use a cot. It's a bit bulky but DAMN is it comfortable and I've never gotten it to deflate.

Again, you guys that spoon someone when you camp, you're kind of out of luck. Not sure if they even make a queen size cot but it would probably be too bulky to be practical.

Coleman Cot is super comfortable.

 

Yeah I'll have to get some kind of mattress since I'll always have my spoon with me.

One of these in the back of the truck was the best night of camp sleeping I have ever had. If I had a longbed I would of just used this and never got a RTT.

 

We need to make the list again and designate lead trucks who know the place and set up the camp sites depending on availability and size to fit as many trucks together!

kamp rite tent cots are pretty nice. I think cabelas makes some too but they are more expesnive by $100. Tent cots are best bet tent and cot in one plus nice matress its like a ground RTT.

 

The wife is out of town that weekend so the dog and I may be in! I will keep checking back for updates.

I can't remember, and I swear this will be the last time I ask, but is it stock friendly?

 

I think they said some trails are not stock friendly but the camping areas are.
