mmm flake  i almost went the black route, wanted to emulate the polished lip, cast grey combo of a hot rod rim. its super fun, still got some tuning to do, and i just pulled the clutch out. waiting on parts.

I kinda think the titanium wrap might look good with the matte blue tank, but it's up to you. I usually like things understated and am naturally opposed to chrome even on a Harley.

BTW, our conversation yesterday got me thinking... I'm going to take a look at a Sporty Roadster today. The taller suspension might even me out from looking so lanky on a sporty. Dealership has 0 down, 0 APR deal so I might be stupid for not buying it.

Then you can get those pegs that Im trying to sell. The new roadster? It has dual disc brakes in the front I believe.

I bought black wrap, but not sure I want to put on.

Also debating not getting a name brand exhaust. The FP3 probably wont have the map for these straight pipes. And now i need to get it and an intake.

Still havent ridden it. Still 47 miles:frusty:

It does, and inverted forks. It's supposed to be the "super sporty" with all the progressive suspension upgrades, but still the same 1200 motor and frame. If it happens, I'll let you know and take the pegs off your hands. It actually matches a lot of the Roadster aesthetic (black w/ machined lip).

I was looking at one at dealer on Sunday.Until my wife came over and chimed in "Are you looking at that for you or me" she already knows the answer. ME I already told her you want a bike of your own buy it.

i wouldnt worry about not getting a name brand exhaust. they both do the same thing performance wise. just looks

But these have no baffles. Just straight pipe.

I might install them after my job interview today

Have any thoughts to saying they are bad for engine due to no back pressure?

back pressure is 100% a myth. the less obstructions in the exhaust the better. now is there such thing as too large of a pipe, yes. you lose gas velocity which in turn reduces the scavenging effect to fill the cylinder with more clean air. the same happens if you go too small of a pipe as well.

That Roadster though. Test riding that and the street bob tomorrow. Still think the soft tail is ugly, but I’ll give it a chance because of all the good things I’ve heard about the ride.

Nice weather here and was able to put in 50miles on each today. I'm slowly changing the new one but lack the funds for everything planned.
