After a year of talking to Tim about getting my shocks done I finially got around to doing it. Big thanks to Tim for getting new hoses made and re valving my shocks. They fit perfect. I'm really happy with how they trurned out. They no longer rub on the spring and not a target on the frame. Theyare tucked up out of the way.

Oh and these came in. 1.25 heims for the trailing arms. They came with stainless steel mis alignment spacers for 3/4” bolts. They are a cheaper ruffstuff ones for now. I’ll eventually get the rebuildable ones from TMR customs. These will do for now.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
It's always better to destroy some cheap parts when you are trying to figure it out, then expensive ones.

Yeah good point. They should last a year or two. These have a longer tube insert too.

Mine have been lasting less than a year, just swapped everyone of them out for Ballistics, which I hope hold up better. Hopefully they fare better for you, they aren't actually wearing out at the ball in the liner, it's the liner that keeps separating from the joint body.

BTW those TMR look the same as the Ruffstuff ones with a plastic liner, not teflon. If you stick with heims, FK with the teflon liner are going to be the best.

Nevermind, I see they have two options, the rebuild-able ones look interesting, similar to the Ballistic but with a bronze liner instead of poly.

Yeah those are the ones I was thinking about. When the time comes to replace them I’ll go with those.

I have no experience with the ruffstuff ones but everywhere I read they say they don’t last long at all. I’m curious to see how long they last me.

Those are what I have. Same thought that I can replace them later easily, might as well do the welding and design on lesser cost items. Are those ruff stuff bungs too? Just be careful on those, they can be welded through too far and then your heim wont adjust anymore :anonymous: one of my upper links is non-adjustable

Yeah they are the ruff stuff bungs. I’m planing on having a buddy of mine Tig weld the bungs and anti wobble uniballs on the link. I’m not mig welding them. Same with the upper links too. The rod ends will be Tig. I just don’t want to chance over heating them.

Yeah starting the rear. The build has been on hold for a while. I’m going to try and get everything finished this year but it’s looking like it might go into next year. We shall see.
