Good day, all!

I am looking for a vehicle to take on the Trans America Trail next year when my daughter graduates from college (she still thinks I'm cool enough to hang around with, and this was her idea!). Originally I had my sights set on a Jeep of some sort, but then I got a loaner Tacoma from my local dealer when I took my daughter's Tundra in for some major work. I was floored by how nice it was and how much room it had for me. I started researching about Tacomas and the TAT, and it led me to this forum where I saw this post:

Need less to say, my target has shifted, but I am wanting to read what you guys post and learn from your experiences. At this stage in life, with one just finishing college, one finishing next year, and another starting later that year, I can't afford an incorrect purchase. I have always loved Toyotas since the 1970's Celicas, and I would expect a Tacoma would outlast a Jeep by a long stretch.
