i have a 2018 TRD Sport I have noticed that the engine temp seems to be running a little over the half way mark toward the red. Is this a normal thing? Do these seem to run on the hotter side?

Id get a scangauge, or ultragauge and use it for an ACTUAL temp readout. Those silly needles are meh.

To be honest I've always thought mine rode a little above the halfway mark (like a centimeter). Nothing crazy but enough to make me wonder. I can tell you with confidence, mine is not/was not overheating. Take a pic how far over half is it. Do you notice any oders?.

No odors. If u estimated with a gas gauge I would say it’s between 3/4 and half. My last car did not have a needle temp gauge so I just notice this more. It’s not over heating.

It's an idiot gauge. IE an idiot light with a needle instead of a bulb.

Get a scan, ultra or torque gauge. It's a cheap investment on a big dollar truck.

Check your coolant level first. May be down a tad or so..?
