I had Minor vibes with the falkens and I'm not getting it with the coopers, still have the falkens on a jeep I have and they're still doing it. Not a huge deal, it goes away when they warm up so I think it was just them getting flat spotted in the cold. Coopers dig thru shitty terrain a lot better than the falkens, falkens weren't very good at all in even light mud. TBH, the only big advantage I've noticed with the falkens over the coopers is the price, in terms of performance, there's no spot I've seen the falkens outperform the coopers. You could say they weight less as a positive, but I'd be willing to bet the weight saving equates to a difference in durability.

Had the SL 265 falken wilds for about 3k miles and jump shipped to the 255 maxx. No regrets with driving them for 6kmiles on and offroad.

They don't even come close performance wise Off roading cuz they're a Hybrid MT and AT.

Cons: weight, price, and losing 1-2mpg.

If you OR frequently ST maxx is an awsome choice.

In the middle of a snow storm today. It's a heavy and wet snow. It's so slippery, even these tires in 255 couldn't climb the hill.

I have been considering these tires in the same size 255/85r16 I do have a couple questions though...For the people who already have theses on their personal vehicles are they worth it? does theses cooper tires make any noise on regular roads or anything? does anyone have positive/negative things about these tires?? thanks in advance

I’ve got them and have put almost 10k miles on them. They’re kind of noisy but that’s to be expected from their tread pattern. The wear is pretty damn good, they still look almost brand new. I got into some red clay mud a little while back and I forced myself to get stuck, these tires wouldn’t let me get stuck and they cleaned themselves pretty well also.

I know, I know, but I needed a half ton.
Well I’ve had them for less than 2,000 miles so far. Mostly street and some snow driving.. on first impression I like them. Not too noisy and ride pretty smooth. At first you feel like your truck is lagging more than usual, but you get used to it and forget about it after a couple weeks.

Full trd pro suspension. Toytec progressive add-a-leaf pack (with overload in). Sema trd 4runner rims. 285 70 17 ridge grapplers. Satoshi grill.
How do these perform in the rain/wet conditions?

So far so good, I haven’t really been through enough with them yet to give a solid answer.

So I bought some 255/85R16's Maxx's this week and got them mounted. I am really liking them and the fact they can go on my '17 TRD Off-Road with stock wheels and suspension with no rubbing was the biggest seller. Here is a link to the truck's before and after:

I posted some first drive impressions in the same thread:

The main thing I want to verify that I noticed was a pretty decent rise in tire pressure when driving at freeway/highway speeds. I did fill my tires in pretty cold conditions to 36 psi, around 20*F. Today was only 10 degrees warmer, but the sun was out. Anyone else seeing their tire pressures go up almost 5 psi during highway trips?

Well I ordered 4 with the current eBay deal through discount tire. Unfortunately I only received 3 tires so far and the 4th is MIA.

Super stoked to join the tall and skinny club!
