I have a 2015 Tacoma extra cab. I installed a OME 3" lift and Bilstein shocks. Currently I have 265/65/17-16 tires on stock wheels.

I would like to go to 275's but I am concerned for A) the look (I don't wan the tires to fill the wheel well too much) and B) clearance.

Do the Bushwacker flares increase the opening size of the fender or do they just cover the stock size but extend out?

Are there flares that increase the wheel opening a bit even if I need to do some trimming, that's fine?

    Thanks.

I’m pretty sure the only thing bushwhackers do is change the look. If you actually want to increase clearance I think your only option is chop it yourself or get prerunner fiberglass fenders.

They bolt/screw into the same spots as the stockflares, they are just for running tires up to 2" extra width pretty sure

They do give more space on the sides but I still had to trim the corners of mine (on the front) for 33's.
