    Yeah.
We should get along fine. Here's my hardtail:

    [IMG]20170916_142210 by MrTenBeers, on Flickr

And I have this one that is about to go up for sale on Pinkbike:

    [IMG]DSCN0354 by MrTenBeers, on Flickr

All plus bikes, no skinny tires left in my garage. I replaced the Fuel above with a Remedy (no pics yet) and put 2.6" tires on the Remedy. I tried 2.8" on it, but it just didn't feel right, slowed it down too much, kinda like a fast guy running in wet tennis shoes. They also come really close to rubbing the frame. It feels much better with the 2.6".

I have a set of Industry Nine Backcountry 450 wheels with new Rekon+ tires in 2.8" now that I don't know what to do with, less than 500 miles. The 450 rims are too wide for the 2.6" tires, but great for 2.8 and up. Let me know if you are interested, will probably clean them up soon and post them on PB as well.

Has anybody been up and explored any of the High Water Mark trail? I've also seen it called the Ozark Overland Trail. This is only one section of it, that I found on another forum... https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...62bc647b&msa=0

Making time to get out and run some stuff like this is tough with all the family obligations (15 & 12 yr old daughters). Wife really isn't the outdoorsy, camp for a couple days type. Oldest daughter is all in, but between church, choir, drama & school, there's just no time. Gonna try to get out there before too long.......

The High Water Mark trail is pretty popular, but you shouldn't go alone. Depending where you live, get a USFS map and just strike out. The girls will love it, lots of half day adventures out there.

I have run some of the sections, but as I've mentioned before water fords can be prohibitive, especially this time of the year. Most skip the the ford at Woolum, it's nearly impossible most times of the year and is a swamper with any amount of rain. You would definitely need diff breathers and snorkel before even considering it. The varieties and routes are very different depending on who you ask on what date. Most sections are just really scenic dirt roads (Indian Creek portion S of Hwy 123 and FS 1205 N of Richland Creek campground through Dickey Junction past Stack Rock to Woolum) and are super enjoyable on their own. I'd love to get a group together to run portions in the Illinois Bayou side, which I'm just beginning to explore. North Fork Road and the parallel jeep run is great, as is Granny Gap up around Victor and S of Brock Cemetery, and over to Nogo. These are easy to access from either Hwy 7 from the east Hwy 105 from the south, and Hwy 16 splits the Illinois Bayou watershed and the Richland Creek watershed. There are a few trails in that area which would require capable recovery and guaranteed pin stripes. Like Pete said, grab a map and go for it. I have some mapped on Gaia (and Google Earth) which I'd be happy to share. I usually go north on 105 at Atkins, left on 27, then right on 164 at Scottsville work my way North and back down or hit FR 1205 off Hwy 16 and go past Richland Creek wilderness. Falling Water Falls is right on 1205 and is something to see. It's easy to spend an entire weekend just on dirt roads and side runs. So many possibilities. Let's plan an outing before it gets too hot!

Whats up guys? I'm new to Arkansas, just last year transferred to the University. Looking to get outside and find some cool wheeling spots. I also see a few of you guys ride MTB's, I have a Specialized Stumpjumper and a Fuse (trying to sell). Thought I'd get on the forums and meet the Arkansas crew.

Welcome to Arkansas. Don't tell anyone else how great it is, our little secret. Bunch of other guys in NWA who will check in I'm sure. Also, check out Tacoma World - Arkansas on FB and Natural State Overland. Lot's to do here...enjoy.
