OP, I'm at 22k & ~16months with my shit OEM Sport tires and frankly they have served me well through two NH winters. Dont blame the tires, shit simply happens.

Time to go for 285/70-17s and a 3" lift. Probably need a front bumper and winch to avoid future issues :D

    Heh.

I’ll add a helpful response then. Unless you bought a road hazard warranty for the tires you are honestly SOL with Goodyear and Toyota. It would be like a dump truck throwing a rock on your windshield or someone kicking up a retread and damaging your grill.

It’s just stuff that can happen while driving and the inherent risk we all take. You can’t really go back to the mfg and claim it was their fault when it’s not.

Tires get punctured, windshields get cracked - that’s why we have insurance or extended warranties.

Also, I got 30k exactly out of my Goodyear’s and they still had 6/32nd tread left and now they have a home on a Land Rover.

Yeah, but the dealer didn't say "wanna buy a road hazard warranty on the tires on your brand new truck?"

Also, no bullshit, this was a very small stone like a driveway type. At least you got 30K out of yours.

Yeah sucks, but shit happens unfortunately.

You could always get it plugged and swap over the tire from the spare and make this one your spare after you get it patched.

It's probably one of those one in a million things. I have had several new cars, trucks, & suv's with Goodyear tires. I am not a fan of their tires. I swapped mine out at 1k and have regretted it yet.

Park the truck in front to the dealer that Ya bought it from, with the flat tire. Hang out on the tail gate, drinking kool aid etc, and when the sales folk come out, shouldn't take long, explain you are there to show people how this dealership takes care of their customers. Make sure the dealer plates are still on the truck.

Yeah you are right, it is not the dealers fault that the tire went flat. I have seen business owners take care of customers, however. A guy buys a soda at the movies for $49.99 and spills it when his kid bumps into him. And I have seen the movie theater manager give the guy a free refill.

Yes i have had 2 of those happen between the treds. I got it patched for 15 bucks each time and went on my merry way. Didn't post about it either. I just did a trail this weekend and aired down to 17 and popped the bead where some sand and stuff got in. The tire would hold more than 22 pounds. Had the bead cleaned and all good. These are decent tires and very capable offroad.

Should be able to buy low mileage stock tire all day long around here with low miles. Lucky you didn't have 10k+ miles...youd need all 4 to keep the tread depth similar.
