Arizona Lift's....

For those that have spent some time in the Arizona wilderness, what lift/tire combo do you recommend specific to Arizona. I do not plan on rock crawling but if something a wee bit on the "rugged" side needs to be negotiated, I would like to be prepared. Maybe some overlanding in the future...

I also drive a lot between Phoenix and Tucson..so I need something road friendly as well.

I would like to stick to a 3" inch lift.

2006 TRD OR with FJ wheels....

I know there is an assload of threads on suspensions..but I want some advice from Arizonians!

Spacers are the cheapest but don't ride the best. Everyone loves the 5100s but I personally don't think they are as great a people say. They don't ride well when you lift it to their max. I would go with an adjustable coil over or the OME setup for the front. it will ride the best for your long drive. for the that back you can do add a leafs or blocks. I have blocks but getting add a leafs because I have a bunch of weight. Fj wheels fit nice and you will be fine with those.

We can help you install it sometime...maybe we'll have another MOD Day soon...If you go with the OME Lift get the 885 Coils...there a better ride and not so stiff. The 886's are stiff for load bearing, like if you had a steel front bumper and winch etc...

Thanks man! I finally found a place to get my windows tinted. I am thinking about ordering some Eibach 1.6" lift springs or some OME 883s or 884s to go along with my 5100's (I only want like 2" of lift right now so I don't dwarf the 265's). My buddy cancelled on me again to help me install the lift and for some reason he wont let me borrow his floor jack and jack stands.

 

that toytec lift is sick. that is what i want to do when i can, or maybe just a 2" lift to start. how do those duratracs compare to bfg all terrains?

 

Where and how much for the tint??? I am looking for a good tint shop.

$145 for 3M High Performance Charcoal film any darkness I want. He is a mobile installer so he will come to you which is pretty sweet. I am having it done tomorrow afternoon so I will update you guys with how it turns out.

I just ordered or should I say tried to order Fox Coil over adjustable shocks and Camburg UCA's (ball joint type) along with AAL's from All Pro Offroad and Wheelers---the bad news, both the shocks and UCA's are back ordered It's all good though now it feels like Christmas is only a few short weeks away.
