Yeah, center of front hanger bolt to centering pin. I think that would be the only accurate way to measure that.

Valid point. Although I believe I did that trimming when I was on 255s and the stock rear bumper.

Stock distance from the front hanger bolt to center pin is 24 1/8" according to Alcan (which I verified on their pack, as well as on stock packs), so you're 24" measurement is probably just margin of error. I got mine at 23 3/8" to do the 3/4" move.

Like I said, it seems to be somewhat random whether the axle move is needed or not. Mike @Digiratus didn't have to (as he recalls) on the same pack that Monte @Blackdawg did have to (he ran a pin relocation block, if I recall correctly). Ben @m3bassman feels like his are pretty well centered without relocation.

I went around my neighborhood, and took a pic of a few trucks I found - some seemed to need it; others I wasn't sure.

So was your first pack in the stock location, and you just moved up from that?

There is a huge gap between your cab and the bed. When you put your bed back on did you make sure your bed is in its original spot. Looks can be deceiving.

Nope. Just bolted it up. :p

Pretty sure it's the same as it's always been.

So let's say hypothetically one were to have snapped two of the three bolts holding down the ignition packs on the passenger side swapping spark plugs out. How fucked would said individual be?

Yeah is odd for sure. @lotsoftoys had to use relocation plates too though i don't think he did on his new Alcans. He was the guy that i found the relocation plates for. Seems to be a random thing as he had Dakars before.

Well interestingly enough I was able to take out the studs that were left by hand.

I was actually super surprised they came out after snapping. Don't know what caused that.

My OEM springs were stock location (obviously :)). First pack from Alcan was stock location (same as OEM) and was fine with OEM sized tires (31") but when I put 255/85R16 tires on there is when I noticed the clearancing issues. I never could get the back to hit, but I was still worried. So I worked with Alcan and they built me a new top and torque leaf, with the center pin moved forward 3/4".

So do you think you can fit chains with your current set up?

Just checked the wiring and everything checks out. The piggyback urd box buzzes and makes noise when in boost and it runs like garbage. The instructions say that the restrictor t is installed wrong if this happens but how the hell can it be wrong? The air flow is clear and everything is in line and it runs like trash under boost @Blackdawg driving normal it’s perfect and no cel’s

sounds like my issues. Could be a boost leak somewhere.

URD had a bad batch of the restrictor T fittings a couple years ago, I ended up with one and had the same thing happening - injector controller was buzzing and boost was not hitting very hard. I called gadget and they sent me a new T fitting in a couple days.
If you remove the fitting and try to blow through one end while blocking off the other end, and nothing is coming out of the restricted end, you've got a bad fitting.
