my local dealer has a leftover 2017 TRD PRO. How much do you think I get them off MSRP? I'm located in michigan which isn't a high demand area for Tacomas.

    Pricing varies greatly by region.

Just use some onliine tools to figure out what they have in it, make and offer and let them say no.

Do not trade, be prepared to pay cash, or at least have your financing pre arranged. Take all their 'deal making' tools off the table, so you know exactly what you're working with.

After your first round of 'no's' walk away. Leave them your phone # and tell them to call if they change their minds.

Not much, they may charge more because of how few are left...

They are not going to pay you to take it. With that being said you have a great chance of getting it a little under MSRP. Make a reasonable offer and make them say no. Good luck.

I'd offer $1000 under msrp. Not THEIR msrp if they have it marked up, but factory msrp.

This ^^^ and don't wear your emotions on your sleeve.

"I'm prepared to write you a check today for this much $$ for that truck."

    Have them write it down...

If they don't take it... walk. They will call you trust me. Any decent sales guy with fish out of water won't let it go too long.

Another move in purchasing at a dealership, if it makes the transaction and negotiations easier for you, is to just accept whatever the dealers finance rate is if you’re getting a good deal on the price of the vehicle.

It’s easy and doesn’t cost anything and there are no additional fees or taxes (in Oregon) to refinance for a low interest rate at a credit union, insurance agency such as State Farm auto loans or a bank for an automobile loan soon after buying your vehicle from the dealer if you haven’t pre-arranged your financing prior to purchase.

I’ve done that a few times.

If you are able, check interest rates at the other places before you buy from the dealer.

Of course 0%, .9 or 1.9% from the dealer is hard to beat if you can get it, along with a good price.

You can get 20% off MSRP at any dealership, don't listen to half of these guys the dealers love these type of people.Don't go to only 1 dealer do atleast 3 and let each one know it.Use biggest dealers in your areas as they are the ones who can offer big discounts, always negotiate the price of the vehicle first, dont let them know if you are using a trade or money down until a price is agreed upon.Them vehicles sitting on their lots cost them money everyday to sit there, they want them moved asap. They are going to try and sell that vehicle for as much money that they can squeeze out of you, they work on commissions period. The more they sell it to you the bigger their wallet gets.Walk out if you have to,I guarantee one of the three dealers will give you exactly what you want.

This is for a '17 TRD Pro. It's not like you can go to 3 other local dealerships and they'll have one too and you can make them bid against each other.

I don't care if it's for rollsroyce if you settle for MSRP than you really don't know how to buy a vehicle.I don't know about Ohio but its no problem finding a Pro here in NEPA.

You are correct sir! Also it is illegal for private citizens to own motor vehicles as private property in the United States. The only thing you can buy sell and trade in regards to a motor vehicle are the equity rights and all the liability to go with it... The Federal trust agreement of 1919 was buried along time ago...you don’t own your vehicle your just a tenant.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that nobody has ever gotten a 20% discount from MSRP on any TRD Pro ever.

Are you one of those people who believes you don’t need a license to drive and considers yourself a “traveler” vs a driver?

I've also heard that the government is teaching animals to fly, including several species of birds. Think about the military applications....

Again, this is for a ‘17 Pro, not an ‘18. Finding a ‘17 is going to be hard. Finding multiple dealers in the area with ‘17 Pros still in stock will be pretty much impossible.

Chances are they don't need to discount it at all. If they can't sell it, it is trade bate with another dealer.
