hey tacomabro69, my tune arrived yesterday..just wanted to update you

anyway..after driving around more today i have to say the 91 tune is great, i am getting better mpg on this tank than i have gotten since i bought the truck (it has around 2100miles on it so far) . i honestly have no complaints with this truck any more.

I don't know if this would make me happy after driving with SSP for a couple thousand miles.... (?) :(

I had SSP and replaced it with OVTune. I have followed it on the Carista OBD2 adapter, and have never seen OVTune shifting like this. Really don't know what to say. OVTune is so much better. Weird to hear these experiences.

what are your mods and did you flash the ECU and the TCU? you shouldn't be in 6th at 35mph

    also some upcoming stuff -
    - update on TT kit development
    - hard part development

we will be working on a modified version of the tune for people who have gears.

more and more orders will be shipping out, but we are nearly out of stock, next batch ETA 2 weeks. If you are interested in getting tuned don't wait, you'll just have to wait longer.

I flashed both ECU and TCU 1.0.3 91. No mods. I'm not in 6th initially at 35 - 45 mph. The upshifts leading up to that point are great, maybe even higher RPM than SSP. But after I get to 45mph and apply light throttle to maintain speed and start to coast, I feel like the truck upshifted to either 5th or 6th. Then if I slow down into the 35 - 40mph and apply "medium" throttle pressure, I see the blip of the RPMs and then the slight bog (nowhere near as bad as stock), and the downshift to what feels like 4th.

I need to setup some type of logging mechanism. I'm a software engineer and I don't like not having factual evidence to support my claim.

Literally everything else feels amazing. I kind of hate that I'm expressing any negativity because I absolutely love the tune. I'm the type of person that notices everything about everything. The tune is a million times better than the SSP, the Sprintbooter or both combined. Don't hesitate if you're on the edge. The truck is so much more fun to drive now and I owned both the SSP and Sprintbooster for over 1000 miles.

This is probably way to early to ask but do we have a ball park on price for TT setup?

I have been lurking here for a couple weeks now. Noticed the mention of special tune for those of us with gears. I think I might have been the first one to get the 4.88's, they where a huge Improvement but still not happy with the shifting especially on the highway! They probably nixed the lift and tires that I had put on but basically probably made it back to feeling like stock without lift and tires so like I said still not super happy with it. Usually I'm not standing on the sidelines, but just can't afford to do this mod right now, anxiously watching all the new developments and updates though and hoping to be able to join the OVT Club sometime! :)

You should worry less about what people post and more about that E85 in your fuel tank.

honey i agree with you ,huge improvement but the highway shifting is still to erratic! I have had gears changed for about 2 weeks and just loaded the tune tonight thanks to dubstyle7(THANKS AGAIN NIC) on 87 to start wanted to try 87 first so i can feel the difference between 91. Will be heading to Sedona this weekend so i will get a good road trip on 87! Then i will jump to 91 and from what i hear i wont be going back to 87!

Happy to help get that nice truck of yours tuned up . Hope that drive this weekend helps and you start driving it without thinking about it. Let me know if you have a change of heart and wanna load up the 91 before your trip. Enjoy!

Anyone install flash manager on a second computer? Do I need a new activation code or can I use the original? Gonna try bootcamp.

is this while driving in D mode right? At very light throttle and low RPM there is 3 phases to the lockup, no lock, part lock, slip. if you are seeing the RPM rise up a few hundred like 100-200 rpm then settle back it's not actually shifting, it's going from no lock > part lock > full lock on the converter, it's easiest to notice under 2000 rpm

Yes in D mode. Thanks for taking the time to explain that. That makes sense. I'm new to all of this and didn't understand what was actually happening.

And thanks for making me want to keep my truck!

You can use the same activation code on a second computer to activate pcm flash.

Well my old laptop shit the bed while trying to get my dongle SN last night, MacBook won’t load boot camp because it’s struggling to partition disk space for some reason???, out came the gaming PC to get my dongle SN sent in and will be used to tune the truck. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
