My 1st Toy and probably my last, if it's as good as my wife asserts.

So far it's been smooth and comfortable, and I can get in and out of my unplowed drive way, (I get home after work and it's snowed during the day and the grader has left a snow bank sometimes up to 1+ feet high) I still use my 2003 escape with it's plow, to clean since it 's been mechanically reliable so far, and it's installed, like all fords it's the rust that ruins the look. the only discouraging thing about the Toy is the gas mileage, but I think that with some of the tricks that I've learned over the yrs I should get that down to an exceptionable level. one other thing is that the speedometer under reads the actual speed up to 6/7 km's below what it shows.

Speedo's always read a bit high...

It could possibly be the tire size...

Keep up on preventative maintenance and you will get the best mileage you can get!

Toyota truck speedometers usually are calibrated for the next tire size above stock. If it came with 265/70r16 then run 265/75r16 to correct it (as an example)

Yeah. Toyotas just have the frame rot and fall out from under the truck. But they look good until then.

So seriously. You need to spend some quality effort maintaining the frame, being there in snow country and all.
