Wash board road is the best way to find out what is loose and not torqued down on your truck. Just watch your rear view mirror for parts falling off.

People still try and argue me on the whole “bottle jack can’t get your wheel off the ground” thing. And then I put said bottle jack to use and lift my tires.

Yep. That's where my Smitty built massive air compressor was. There is plently of room for it. I would just move that manifold to under the hood or run my air locker line out the body plug in the floor that is under the storage bin.

That's exactly what just happened again. At this point, what's another $600? I'm already $6-7K in the last 2 weeks.

Hilifts only work on trucks with no articulation. I would be uncomfortably close to maxing out my 60" Hilifts to change a tire.

Agreed. Short of jumping a truck, washboard really applies a lot of force to an item like a bed rack with the vertical load of a tent bouncing up and down over and over again.

    :bananadead: #doordingprotectionbro

I feel like there are more 4x4 trucks "show" sliders than 2wd trucks.

Gotta ratchet strap that axle to the frame before you start lifting and the problem solved.

Agree with every thing you just said except for "I feel like there are more 4x4 trucks "show" sliders than 2wd trucks".

False. the only thing a 2wd truck is good for is building them for parking lot shows. hahaha :bananadead:

You think there are more 2wd trucks with sliders than overlanders who see nothing more than a grated dirt road?

I could..... Or just do it a safer way that relying a hilift. Not scared of them, but anyone who uses them as a first choice is a lunatic.

That’s why I said prove it haha. Other people have still tried to say it won’t work on their truck even after I show them

When I swapped my new wheels and tires over, I used the highlift to lift half the truck up to swap two tires at a time....

How much fun would that truck be? Id love to find more money and build a full blown caged LT truck.

Lol. Now that we've made it here, I've had sliders on for a couple years now and haven't touched them  Come close! But with the spindles my cab is so fucking high it went over the rocks.
