I believe she is a female marshall. Not that it matters, whoever it was kicked ass. I just read about it yesterday and the article hinted that it was a female. Didnt really say for sure.

Probably one of those things that you just can't wait till it happens. Stare at the perp just waiting for a "look", then you know it's game on.

When did this shit happen? I donot recall hearing about this until today. Which is odd because I am pretty up on the news and daily goings on.

    Anyhow:

Whats wrong with these kids? I really think its a lack of dirt in their diet. We used to eat the stuff when we were kids practically by playing outside so much. :notsure:

Edit: Oh and he was known to authorities prior. So THEY knew about him as well.

Its the government man, the learning curve for them is like a sweeping arc through space, so it takes a long time. Where as the private sector is more of an F1 race corner. :notsure:

I wish that were true, but now we (tax payers) have to fight a lawsuit by the family. Fracking ridiculous.

"Angilau’s family has said the marshal who killed him went too far... In the wrongful-death lawsuit, the family said the courthouse had multiple layers of security, with several armed U.S. marshals and bailiffs in the courtroom capable of subduing their son.

Angilau had a weapon, they said, but it was only a pen. And the final three shots were fired into Angilau’s back, after he was on the floor."

But it's only a pen, no real threat, right?

Actually they brought the suit up to a court almost immediately and it was denied already. I read it the first day I saw it, I'll try and find the article.

Sadly, clearing barrels were inventended for a reason. And it's not because people are good at clearing weapons.

Wasn't the public discourse a few years ago about how the government spies on us too much and it needs to stop. I wonder if they weren't afraid of "profiling" lawsuits they would move quicker.

I was working in a place once, we'll call it a prison. And the Red Cross came on my block to encourage those in my care to write letters home. I was doing something else when they came on. But as they were leaving I saw them with a paw full of pens.

"How many pens did you come on the block with?"

"I don't know, does it matter?"

A discussion happened, culminating in me saying "if one if our staff is shanked by a pen, I will personally find you and ensure a slow and painful death using this exact pen [showing him the cheap black skillcraft ballpoint that was kept in the block logbook]"

Next time that dipshit came on the block, he presented his pens for inspection coming on and leaving.

Thats a good point, I mean by that is its a slippery slope or fine line kind of thing. It could be considered overreach if they try and do something to early. This is a hard issue to figure out in that respect. Where does stepping in and overreach merge? :notsure:
