Are you on stock coils with the 5100s set to 1.55? How's the ride. I dropped mine back to zero setting, no lift, because it was terrible. Supper bumpy and if anything was loose in any of my compartments in the cab it would shake like crazy. How did you lift the rear? And 265/70s only give a total lift of 1/2" by the tires alone.

Just depends on the tire size and what you're planning on doing. Regearing isn't necessary for the most part unless you're slapping 33s or bigger on it, IMO

So when people complain about losing a little power its on bigger wheels like 33s without regearing? Whats the largest you can go with or without a lift or other mods without worrying about power loss and regearing?

I am not happy with the ride, like yours evrything is super bumpy. When i have some extra $$ i will be switching to OME or Eibach coils and putting the setting back to zero. As for the tires, my stock tires on the SR5 were 245's and when measuring them i got .9" difference from them to my falken's which is why i rounded to 1".

edit: i lifted the rear with a 1" ReadyLift block

You're absolutely right... I didn't realize you were an SR5. My bad.

So I read your profile and figured out that you used blocks. Were they tapered, and if not, are you getting any vibrations?

not tapered and no vibrations at all and no axle wrap. I have 2 friends who have only used block/spacer lifts on their trucks for 15+ years and have no complaints whatsoever which is why i went this route.

I only ask, because I went with 1" blocks in the rear too and (most likely) convinced myself that there were vibrations so I took them off. I might put them back on later, but i'm leaning towards getting OME 885s and putting an AAL

My ultimate goal is switching over to the OME 885's and AAL as well but that all comes in time when i have the extra cash. First will be the coils, ill ride that for a bit and who knows i may have no gripes at all and keep it that or or ultimately switch the rear to an AAL.

I definitely have a lift up front and in the rear. From the factory our trucks come with a 1" lift up front, I added another 2" for a total of 3". At the moment i have about a 1 1/2" rake. Here's a side pic to give you a better look at the lift..

I can see it there more. Awesome truck. So pardon my noob ness, but you say our trucks come with a 1” lift stock. Wouldn’t that be considered just stock (and no lift)? Or do you mean compared to the other taco trims?

Also, at your lift and wheels/tires, I take it you don’t feel a power loss or would need to regear?

Thank you sir! Yes, you’re right, the Off Road trim model is 1” higher than the sport and the pro is 2” higher than the sport. No power loss and no need to regear. I’m running 265/75/16’s which is one size up from stock. Thinking of going up to 285’s though :)

If you don’t mind me asking how much did all the aftermarket wheels/tires/lift all cost total? I’d want a setup like yours but just learning about it all now.

The reason I didn't buy a PRO? I wanted a sunroof and didn't like the available colors. Now that black is an option, I probably would have bought that. Clearly I didn't save any money buying an OR.
