Ur current wheels, assuming they are 8" wide have a BS of 3.75. But they are Fuels so probably r 9 wide which is a BS of 4.25. New rims have a BS of about 5. So.... a 2 inch spacer would give u a 3" BS which is a lot of poke. It would be 3/4 of an inch more poke if u have a current BS of 3.75(8"rim) and would be 1.25" more poke if ur current BS is 4.25(9"rim)

well, for the first time since I bought the truck I actually have to fix something. I cleaned the snow off the truck while I was updating the firmware on my HU. when I dropped my wipers back down I heard a weird noise but didn't think anything of it. as I was sitting in the truck waiting for the HU to reboot, I decided to wipe the windshield. drivers side went woooooosh and the passenger side didn't move. everything is good n tight and the whole arm/nut/shaft all just moves freely by hand :annoyed: I leave on Saturday morning to drive 10 hours up north. good thing I opted out of buying some rims I was looking at on kijiji

Crazy carpets can get the job done, you can get any color, cut it any size, and if you rip them off it wont take the fender with it, and is cheaply replaced

Found the culprit. Buddy will order me new window regulator linkage tmrw and I will get it fixed after work. Cost for non OEM is about 180. OEM was double that.

Didn't know the window regulator would work for fixing the wipers:anonymous:

Glad you found the issue. To bad there isn't a bushing or something you could of replaced.

I said LINKAGE!!! hahahaha that's what it was called in the database anyways and online, ive heard it called a transmission too but that may be referring to a different type of set up? but yeah I know, there probably is a kit but buddy said he isnt able to order them. I could probably find it online but I need this fixed before friday night. that white piece just snaps on to the metal ball on the LINKAGE haha but I noticed the metal ball had wear on it as well and that baby is press riveted on there. it would be more work to change that part then it would be to just replace the linkage assembly lol

It be the windshield wiper linkage not the widow regulator linkage the latter is what makes your side windows go up and down lol. Got ya yeah I am all about what is available vs waiting to fix no matter the cost to me waiting is more time consuming than just spending the extra dough on getting what can fix it now. As far as transmission goes nah they have been using the same basic design since they put a motor on wipers and not made them hand operated. I think it's just an old school name for them. Like GM still calls a driveshaft a prop shaft for whatever reason. Just weird terminology passed down there are still some manufacturers that call alternators generators which is not the correct terminology but they didn't feel like changing it.
