I'd go with the 265/75/16. They will fill out the wheel wells better, you'll be happy you did.
A report that these tires did remarkably well the other day when a car decided to stop dead in the middle lane of a three lane highway right in front of me. A firm jam on the brakes, jerk of the wheel and bark from the tires and I cleared the corner of their bumper by maybe 1ft. I'm still worked up over it because I would have hit her somewhere around 40mph. So, to the person in a small white blur of a sedan - FUUUUU

Is there anywhere to purchase these tires in 265/70/17?! My local discount tire said they’re on backorder. Such a shame because I’d rather the Falkens than the Duratracs.

Ah dope. They have some in stock. Only thing is that I could get $150 off the Duratracs with the DT coupon and rebates. Wonder if it’s even worth it now. Do you think DT would still credit me for my current tires if I had them install the new ones?

My local Discount Tire said the 265/70/17 was on national backorder from the manufacturer, but they were able to order them from Discount Tire Direct which had them in stock. Since I bought them through the local store I was able to trade in my old tires to help offset the cost of the new ones. Just ask your local DT to order the tires from DT Direct, it’s all part of the same company.

Yeah but I think DT direct is on backorder as well right now.

Oh got it. I ordered mine last week and Direct said they had 80 or so left in this size. It’s certainly possible those are all gone. If you haven’t already, I’d call Direct and have them confirm what the local shop told you. My local shop originally called and told me they were out of stock and wouldn’t come in till June. So I called Direct and they said they had plenty in stock. It may be that the local shops don’t check with Direct for inventory unless you ask them to do it.

I have 35k on mine and they still look new. P-rated 265/75 R16. There is picture in this thread.

They are phenomenal in the snow and every other condition as well.
I’m in Maine and they are used in every different type of snow weekly. No complaints. They also have great road manners.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on 265/75/16r for my dclb. I only tow my bass boat, it’s an 18ft aluminum so I should be fine. Been following this thread and with the discounts going on till the 19th I think I’m gunna take advantage of it.
