Sorry! I really try to not post Jalopnik-style crap like this, but that article was just more wrong than right.

I read it earlier today. Absolutely horrible. Next up for the author... Here, let's compare this base model Civic to a WRX STI. My conclusion, the STI wins.

Ever notice Chevy has an add running what seems like every hour about one of their vehicles? I am curious how desperate they are to generate buzz. They must be handing fits full of money out to anyone to say their truck is better then the Tacoma. Can't cheat numbers though :)

Not only that, but the last crop have almost nothing to do with the vehicle, more about giving families free surprise trips?

Implying that someone paid 38k for a Access Cab Sport was my first red flag.

Eh. Any kook can write a piece about trucks, and they certainly are. I can’t list all the problems I have with it either. Volvo wagon people now dictate the direction and perception of trucks now. Shrug off the absurdity.

He acted as if the MT Tacoma was pretty "run of the mill..."

Clearly the guy picked two random vehicles out of his office's parking lot and did a comparison to meet a deadline.

Obviously an advertisement disguised as an article. There's just factual and methodological errors throughout. The guy is also admitting he didn't take either of them off road. He drove them on the street only.

I’m actually not hating on this guy in any real way. In a lot of ways TRUCK-truck people are worse, what with this-
    0F7F55EB-CB2C-4416-BC77-E1A280C375C0.jpg
The progression to what now is considered a real truck tracks the same as the progression on what was considered real radar-

Both overly expensive to buy and maintain, packed with things that really aren’t needed, and too fuckin big to park.

Bumper, Winch, 315s, Sliders, OME HD lift, Custom rear swingout, roof rack, drawers, way too much to list.
Maybe he should have tried comparing their ZR2 with a TRD Pro and found some in the same configuration. This read like it was the first automotive piece he had ever done.
