How about taking 2 or 4 very small button head screws and install them at 2 o'clock, 4 o'clock, 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock positions on the inside diameter to make the diameter smaller. If you use very small screws they will look fine and you can adjust them to tighten or loosen the fit of the cap. You can get a bag of 4 screws for $1.19 at Home Depot. You can even install them from the inside with only the screw points sticking out to hold the cap tight. Another better cosmetic option is drilling 2 small holes 45 degrees apart and inserting 2 small plastic push clips similar to the clips on most fender liners. You can buy those from the HELP parts rack at Autozone.

So I installed a Cali Raised lower bumper led bar over the weekend and now somehow I'm getting +2mpg. Did anyone else notice a difference? The only other thing different is I left off the inside the hood wind breaks.

Yep. Bought my truck last mid October, went to Florida to visit my mother for a week during Thanksgiving, couldn't wait to get back home to my truck. I'm almost contemplating driving it down for the Mother's Day trip.

Haha no it really did change. It went from 18mpg to 20mpg average. I drive the same places every day for work so I know I was only getting 18mpg before. It even reflects the change in the 'eco' app on entune.

I know a lot of people dip or paint their bumper caps but has anyone tried using Dupli-Color Truck Bed Coating, Dupli-Color Rocker Guard, Rust-Oleoum Truck Bed Liner, 3M Gravel Guard or even VHT Wrinkle Plus Paint? I like the rough, textured look and feel of bedliner and wanted to see if anyone had experience with these inexpensive DIY sprays and whether or not they are a viable option.

Good to see another tech hiding out on TW. Where did you get your crab? I’ve been looking for a Hitchcover for my Tacoma.

Just had my Tradesman truck top installed today. Many thanks to @Toynado for the recommendations for this build. Love the build quality and how this thing looks. Lots of camping to come!

I like it! I feel like it could of been cut a little better. Mine was a pain too get in. The directions say to insert one side then pull out I the middle to insert the other side...I think it would be a lot better if they just cut it 1/4" shorter and it would of been easy as hell to install.

Thanks! Appreciate it! I really want to get the slimline bumper but I've spent enough money the past month on it lol. I'll probably give it a couple more before before I make the plunge.

What AAL are the best paired with 5100’s? Looking at these what do you all recommend?

I don't know what is worse on this site...the truck porn or the gun porn...

"Had to test shoot"...sounds so much better than how I spent my day @Bullet_.

I know what mean. I just joined this forum not that long ago, because I just got my truck. In that short time that think this has become my favorite forum I've ever been on. There is so much awesome stuff on here. And the people are great.

But range days are the best days.

Huh didn't think anyone would notice that! But I have someone in my family who has a metal fab business. I had him make it for me. Just had one ordered for a co worker too. He makes them for around $50 I believe plus whatever the shipping cost is.
