No. It just showed up in my feed. I tried to resist clicking that clickbate, but I bit. Then, I tried to resist posting it here, but it was just so bad that I couldn't resist that either.

Yeah, some Gawker was good years ago. Now, it is just an ad churn biz. I skim Jalopnik mostly for headlines. Their articles and writers are trash these days.

Toyota doesn’t have to advertise Tacoma’s and 4runners, they can’t keep them on the lots as it stands now!

    Nice effort!

One small thing, the MTs don't have CC or MTS, just TRAC. The LSD thing in the article is misleading, but explaining it to that knucklehead would have been useless.

For this reason I really hope they don't neuter the 4 Runner or Taco's any further. 'Member when you could get a V8? :burnrubber:

Isn’t business insider suppose to be somewhat reputable? Wtf kind of comparison is this? Takes a loaded up crew cab Colorado and compares it to a trd sport a/c manual. Idiot doesn’t even know the Tacoma scoop isn’t functional either. Only reason the Tacoma has a regular key is because it’s a manual trans, otherwise it would be a push button. So many stupid things about this article and this author. Exactly why I hate comparison articles. What fits my taste and needs and going to be different than yours, his and everyone else’s.

Regardless of everything else this article says, the reason I buy Toyota was summed up with this: "Will it beat the Toyota Tacoma's legendary durability? I wouldn't bet on it. Toyota pickups are designed to take a lickin' and keep on tickin' and tickin'."

Get back to me after 300,000 miles, Colorado owners. :D

Saw this yesterday. I knew the dude was high when he said the Chevy interior was better than the tacos. A lot of journalists have been saying that actually. But the media is also garbage and full of idiots.

Oh and the "only not to luxury is the leather-wrapped steering wheel", yeah because dual zone climate control is standard on most vehicles now a days. I have an 2018 with leather and seems pretty damn luxurious to me. Also come standard with pre collision, lane departure and pedestrian avoidance. And I own a bmw without any of that!

*Buys Colorado knowing it'll breakdown and wear out sooner*

I cannot come to terms with that statement. Why the hell would somebody buy something they're convinced won't hold up to the test of time? Its a sad day when Japanese pickups are more American than American trucks.

Have you guys seen the commercial where they compare a fully loaded Chevy Slitherado LTZ Z71 to an F-150 work truck? I couldn't find a video of it but it was ridiculous, they told a "dad" and his "son" all the ways that the $50k Slitherado was better than a F-150 that was probabably under $30k then asked them which one they would choose. They were both like of course we'd choose the Chevy and I think that they even commented how they like the red way better than the bland white F-150.

There are VERY few cars people purchase anymore that they plan on having for more than the life of the loan. My dad gets cars every 2-3 years. It's the American way! :D Most cars are ready to be replaced in 5-10 years, it seems. It's sad. No one gets their moneys worth anymore. It's a combination (I think) of people being very wasteful, obsessed with the new of new, and technology—which these vehicles are full of—being disposable (i.e. cell phones, computers).
