Lol it was all armchair banter, not to be taken seriously.

That's a 777X engine being tested on a 747 test bed. Likely the engine-driven accessories (hydraulic pumps, AC / DC generators, bleed air, firex) are not directly compatible with the 747's systems.

Yep. Pretty sure there are no fuel or electrical connections. They also remove the compressor section and place a faring inside. It's an ingenious way to get an engine someplace without trying to find a plane to fit it into.

Well for what ever reason they think they deserve that land, they will make it fail. Its profitable now with high yields. In a few years production and profits will be down, they did it in other African countries already and it was disastrous.

The ANC are on a witch hunt and doing everything to to take revenge for apartheid. No one trusts the other side and actions like these are not isolated. There has been a steady flow of white South Africans leaving for other countries happening for about five years now. Most go to Australia which is wonderful for The Australian economy as whole corporations are shifting and creating jobs.

Hate and revenge are slowly destroying a place I was luckily able to call home for a short time. Literacy is declining and in the end it will turn bloody for one thing. Diamonds. There is no way De Beers conglomerates will walk away from them and the factions all want in and are working themselves into a frenzy trying to find a way in.

In an odd way, diamonds are what’s still holding the nation together. It’s the revenue that they generate that is keeping everything still functioning. I love South Africa and always will but it’s sad to see her heart being torn out.

Once people found out I was an American they adored me. They have a strange fascination with “Yanks” and went out of their way to share their nation and lives with me. I still have many friends there that I keep in touch with and some of the stories that you hear are horrific.

That may well have made my normally calm demeanor to go postal. There's a line in the sand.
