It's so dang common anymore. Vet recommended we wait until at least a year to neuter ours as they are finding if you wait until the growing has stopped, there is less cases. My dog is so dang active, I don't know what I'd do if it happens to him. Keeping him from running for 12 week's wouldn't be possible I don't think.

Hopefully your guy is back on track in no time.

 

Yeah, I wasn't aware of that advice when I first got her, will probably wait to fix my next dog. The surgeon said they do 4-5 of these surgeries a week.

Fortunately, although Sydney loves to run like there's no tomorrow when she's outside, she's pretty much a couch potato indoors. It'll be an interesting ride to say the least, and June can't come quickly enough in this case. Again, much appreciated.
