He just reminds me of the uncool kid who thinks he's cooler than the popular kids, so he trashes them for anything he can to make himself feel better about his own insecurities.

The kind of people that have time to make an Instagram account for the sole purpose of trolling and making fun of other people's Instagram accounts.

I always thought those things looked kind of flimsy for offroading with a RTT on top.

Not directly but everything Ive heard on them has been good. Good features for the prices, good customer service if you call, havent heard of any real machine issues. Id check on consumables though. I know they have their own but i dont know if they work with the miller ones.

Only downfall would be no real dealers to get parts from so any issues you cant just take it somewhere really.

I know a couple guys who have their mig guns. The flex neck ones. They like them outside of using HTP consumables but just order online and its not a big issue. its when you need it now and cant run to the weld store (usually) to pick them up. I don't know 100% for sure you couldn't use a miller/Hobart tip though. Also know a guy who picked up their tig water cooler and says he likes it.

They seem to make decent stuff...its just not being pushed as hard as ESAB or Everlast stuff so seems to remain a bit lesser known.

I checked it out at the sportsman's show when adventure ready had it set up on their Tacoma. Definitely looks sweet, but it is expensive as you said. I'm probably going to buy the new rhino rack batwing. It still has legs to set up, but looks easy to do. $699

I have one, and I absolutely love it.

Yes - it's expensive, but I found I use it so much more than my ARB one I had before just for ease/time of setup and take down. It takes literally 10 seconds to set up, and maybe 30 seconds to take down so really anytime I'm stopped on the trail I set it up.

I've used it in torrential downpours, and to protect against the sun.

I'm going to sell my entire Alu-Cab setup and move to an all-in-one camper but I am planning on rebuying the Alu-Cab Shadow since I like it that much.

ARB one is like $300, but I use my Alu-Cab probably 10x more than my ARB so in that sense I think it's a good deal.

Showed up at SEATAC this morning to find the overheight parking full of Subarus and stock pickups (both fit easily in standard garage). I had to park offsite, REEEEEE.

Don't worry though - all 4 disabled spots were totally empty.

The funny thing is when I was leaving there was a built FJ Cruiser coming in the normal entrance doing the Mexican standoff with the height warning bar.

that happens at my work because high clearance parking is easy and close to elevators. there is actually some prejudice against trucks. some people think everyone should be increasing their estrogen levels in a Prius.

I pulled into a deck in the city and the hight bar was at 8'. After taking a ticket, I pulled around the corner where there was another one that was only 6' 4" and had to turn around and leave

I got stuck in the Seatac height bar when I had my CVT tent on :bananadead:

The height it said was 6'10, and to this day I think still think I was under 6'10
