Planning on ordering a prinsu cabrac today. I want to mount a plano or pelican on top for recovery gear/camping gear depending on the trip on a E02 mount to lock it. I have a 2018 double cab and would like the case to be as long as possible (slightly shorter than the rack). Can you who have these cases make recommendations and add links if possible. All weather boxes preferably.

Never had an issue with Plano. TONS of guys run them on here. As did myself.

I think I’ll take your word on that. I’ve owned Plano cases in the past, but never had them exposed to any weather. Always kept them in the SUV

Plano 42 inch cases are nice because it will fit on a rack both orientations. Never had issue with mine. Mounted with 4 2inch u-bolts.

Pelicans are awesome but you pay for the name, and the build isn't that much better for your usage. You can find em cheap at DRMO auctions and stuff sometimes though.

Nice, I think I may save a little on the EO2 and mount directly to the rack like you did. I don’t see myself having to remove the entire case at all.

I live in a place where I don't worry about it, but some take em off to prevent their departure... Only reason I would. Maybe MPG + noise, but that's already a goner...

Should have an audio file that sounds like the fine print on the drug commercials.

"side effects of Tacomaworld include, but are not limited to mpg loss, wind noise, desire to lift things, reduced savings account, possible loss of significant others, taco jealousy, overuse of instagram hashtags, tacos on tuesdays, mall crawling (especially on #flexfriday) , violent thoughts about Ridgelines, use of the words expo and or overland excessively, excessive drooling, phone data plan overusage, and scarred knuckles.

I park her in my garage, which raises another question. Do you know the height from the top of the roof to the top of the Plano case? I may have to move some garage lighting around considering the tires and suspension as well.
