I went with the MOOG Inner/Outer’s... Pretty affordable and the work is pretty easy. You just need the right tools!

I do the same. Use the skid plate / no wood needed. I have the Husky 3ton from that Home Depot.

 

Do it soon, suggest taking them off to check each one...

 

That's what I have installed, and I also carry one as a spare. Ideally I should have 2 for spares.

Not to stir the pot, but did you post in the FN thread? I mean, this could be a major defect.

 

I keep my old ones on hand for spares...

 

late 2008 early 2009. 2 of the all black ones are blems from those guys, they offered me a discounted price to replace the first 2 that cracked.

 

Edit: to make clear, the replacement rims have also cracked and are shown above

And then theres this one..

 

Many years ago the FN dude met me late at night in a In N Out parking lot just to make the exchange to replace the first cracked wheel. That was great, and was the reason why I didnt realy say much. I picked up the second and 3rd wheels at their office without any issues either. The all bronze wheel above was a loaner..

 

They're like your old duratracs, kept getting replaced so kept with them... until now.

@MonkeyProof do you feel it's a casting issue? Or you're wheeling harder than the 2,200 lb load rating can handle?
