Proper tools it shouldn't be a problem. I think you can rent the inner tie rod tool
Actually like the rear bumper, plated and tubed.

I don’t even know what’s bad for sure? I can twist easy and there seems to be a lot of movement?

Maybes it’s just the outer balljoint deal?

If you can't see behind the boot of the inner tie rod, and nothing is oozing out of it then wiggle the spindle left and right. If there is play look closer at both inner and outer rods when you wiggle it again.

I rather be on the safe side if you haven't replaced them in a long time, just do it and not have to worry about it.

When I tried doing my steering rack bushings, I couldn't for the life of me get that long ass bolt out of the first (?) one..the one on the driver's side. Ended up buttoning it all back up to give it a try another day, but maybe I didn't pry the rack away well enough, it was starting to get late and I wanted to make sure I had my truck drivable for work in the AM. I'll give it another shot soon, got some Energy suspension bushings waiting to go in.

I’m probably just gonna go with it, it drives fine at the moment. Gonna Need an alignment next week anyway and we’ll see what they say.... I guess...

Was curious so had to look it up. Last year July 24th in Phoenix it was 91% humidity and a high of 90 degrees. We also hit 115 earlier the same month, I don't know any other place that has those numbers. Arizona is usually dry and we know heat but we do know what humidity is too

Found a locking glove box latch from a 4runner at the part yard. Had it rekeyed this morning. Color matches fairly well compared to someone else who posted their swap.

Concord, this happened in Rock Hill. That piece of shit is coming off the back of my truck tonight. I’m just glad it didn’t get blown into the 2018 Camry I was parked next to.

If you are getting an alignment, the tech won't do one until he checks the TRE's.

If he says they are bad make him show you and let you feel the play. Any quality tech will be happy to show you if you tell him you want to learn how to check for bad suspentions parts.

I have same truck. It came with a rigid cap. It was removed an hour after I got the truck home. You won't miss it.

Funny, the wife and I will be vacationing in Rock Hill/Ft. Mill next month.

Yeah mine has a yellow plastic slide lock on the right side. Didn’t matter today.

How much did it cost for you to get it rekeyed? I bought one for my truck off a '96 Limited T4R but I never had the chance to ask for a quote
