PS3 finally pooped out on me :(

My PS3 FINALLY broke......it got the "yellow light of death" has this happened to anyone else? I guess there's no way of fixing it. I'm just going to get a new one...... Oh and mine was the 60gb that just came out in November 2006. I'm surprised it lasted that long........my brother has had his 360 for 2 years and he has had 3 because of the "RROD"

my dads did. he had like 60 days on mw1. get the next one you buy from costco for sureee. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH COSTCO IS THE BEST PLACE FOR PS3S AND XBOX 360S/ 2 YEARS AND ANYTHING HAPPENS TAKE ANYTHING YOU BOUGHT BACK TO THEM IN A BUNDLE AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU A FULL CASH REFUND.

you can send it in, you'd have to pay i think 160 bucks and they can copy the data from the drive and put a new one in. My buddy is actually sending his in next week when the box shows up.

 

If you're trashing it, I wouldnt mind having it for parts. My blu-ray drive in my 60gig already took a shit once, chances are its gonna do it again. It'd be nice to just have some spare parts in case.
