Anybody want to fish this Sunday? Fresh, salt, kayak, shore...I don’t care. If I go solo, I’m thinking I’ll hit the ponds to figure out the new fish finder then see if I can find the blue gill and crappie.

I was gunna head down there tomorrow after work and stay through late Saturday but the water temps aren’t looking very productive. Might be free next weekend, not sure yet. Been spending the past few weekends rigging up the truck and organizing my tackle, cleaning reels ect.. I’ve yet to fish the tournament myself and was considering it this year, but October is the run on the northern beaches so I may not. Gotta buddy who’s been bugging me to fish it the past couple years. Won a drum tournament at Jennette’s pier a couple years ago, $400 reel for a $20 entry, can’t complain.

I've been doing the same. Organizing, cleaning, and planning. Shopping for new gear I really don't need. You know, the usual "I wanna fish but I can't" stuff.

I might not catch a damn thing in October, but I'm getting my $100 shirt.

So far they're calling for rain next weekend. But of course that's 10 days out and can change 100 times.

Still might go, rain or not. Work and home has got me stressed out to the point that I just don't even want to be in this state. And that's after the whole, "thankful to have a job and a house to come home to". It's still just nice to escape every once in a while, focus on nothing, and hit the reset button in your mind.

Thankfully after my organizing I don’t really have much I need other than leader and maybe a few different hooks. I got too much gear as it is, i have double or triple of everything, I always bring too much when I head out... I feel ya on needing a break, waiting for it to warm up just a little more and gunna start going camping again. Might only me 2hrs away, but it’s in the middle of no where away from here.

I really need to update my saltwater fishing gear. Mostly I just make what I have for catfish work.

I run some pretty light gear for cats especially Channel cats as they can be sneaky and their bite very light. I am not into using big heavy bottom salt water gear for monster cats.

I wouldn’t know, last cat I caught was over 10yrs ago. But I can definitely see how lighter gear would help if they can be finicky. The guys I know will take their same rods for drum or cobia and use them in the rivers.

I use 1 pound whole shad for bait when I catfish on the james. Still looking to break the 80 pound mark.

I'm about 4 hours away from Rodanthe. That's where I normally stay. My new year's resolution was to get down there more this year, and I'm going to do it. If for nothing else, just the peace and quiet.

That's my plan if I ever end up fishing for big cats. Usually just use my bass rods for normal sized cats. But I haven't been fishing for them in a while either.

Yeah, I definitely need to come catfishing with you. I'd be happy with like a 30-40 pounder. My personal best is just shy of 10 pounds. Lol.

Is the seat 22 inches wide? I know that's what I need on my treestands to be comfy all day.....damn I really shouldn't have went to the hobie website. Just saw the pro angler 14 in camo. Drooled a little bit. :rofl:o_O I couldn't find any specs on how wide the seat was.

Shit If I would just sell all the truck parts I have taken off and the guns I don't use. I could buy a kayak:thumbsup:

All I could find says 21 inches at the armrest. I need to ride my ass up to bass pro and sit in one. I'm afraid that's gonna be $$$$$ I have little will power:D

I saw 21” between the arm rests. The Compass seat is a couple inches wider than the vantage seat that comes on the PA and the Outback but the seat on the compass is not height adjustable.

It’ll be $$$$$ once you sit it one but more so when you take one out on the water. You won’t find a Hobie at Bass Pro...but they’re easy to find.

I see what I did there....my closest dealer is on the same road as my closest bass pro. When I first looked I just figured it was inside bass pro.
