So on my dads 2nd gen, it has this problem where you will be cornering and suddenly it feels like the front wheels are sliding and there is a beeping noise, particularly on right hand corners. Has anybody had this happen?

I would assume this is due to loss of traction, and the traction control system is beeping to alert you of possible dangerous conditions.
    Are the tires good?

Yeah the tires are good. It even does it when you’re moving surprisingly slow, and even when I think I’v slowed down enough for the corner it still does it. I can rail it into Left hand curves without a problem.

Also check wheel speed sensors, if the tone wheel is cracked or missing teeth the abs can do weird stuff at low speeds
