... I never thought of this. I have a shell and bed tray system with my extra battery in the back but not connected to my main. I have a 2013 sport so very little if any room in the engine bay for another battery..

I guess my question is there is no trouble starting with running your starter battery in the back? This changes my whole plan for solar charging and a dual battery setup...

Looks like they do Volume pricing so could probably get a GB together if they are quality.

LED light rack with 22 pods is operational. Rather than building a switch circuit, i standardized all connectors by converting all lights to DTP connectors, then used the DTP Rigid harness to power the lights.

I invested in a quality DC linear high precision bench top power supply to run more controlled tests outside the truck, which has the added advantage of easy current draw readings from the lights... and me not looking like a crazy person putting on a light show for the street. But I’ll still do beam pattern tests outside.

This is testing the setup with Rigid. Draw 3.5A which calculates to 22.5w. Spec is 22w. This is going to be interesting.

    5AAEF555-EBDE-41EA-85BE-84553012271D.jpg

Edit: This is going to be even more interesting than I thought, as some claiming J583 patterns have poor beam control. Both these lights *should* not produce glare, clearly not the case, the right light has excessive glare.

There will be a dedicated thread with very extensive testing coming soon. This was just the initial test of the rack, wiring and and power supply. Any specific questions feel free to PM me as I’ve already run through some preliminary tests and had some very interesting results.

Its been under 30 degrees over the last week. My truck isnt garaged. Not a single issue. Cranks hard just like it did before the relocate. 2/0 cable is the helping factor.

Also, Im going to run the Blue Seas ML ACR. That along with the sPOD will be mounted on the back cab wall. I still need to upgrade the alternator to the 200amp version though just to be sure. Lots of heat shrink in my near future to extend some harnesses :bananadead:
