The 'I do" part lost a lot of it's meaning I think. Especially with the way the world and society are now. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I don't understand how people can do it and have no remorse in most cases. It's one thing if things aren't going well and you "need" the attention, but still... I know I talk a lot of "shit" about the Mrs, but truth be told it's all in good fun and I'm lucky enough not to be in a bad situation. At least that I know of.

 

i especially don't get it if you have kids. like why put them through that, and then how do you face them after? one of my bravo shows the mother of this guy came to visit, and she kept having little break downs because her husband had cheated on her and left her (she's in her 50's). she was so little, it was sad

 

Going to try this tactic

 

"Are you married?" "No, why do you ask?" "You're wearing a wedding ring....." "Dammit, not again why do I always put it on that finger"

I don't want to go into it too far here, but I think our culture has been intentionally destroyed along with the family unit. Some traditions are silly, but a lot of around for a reason. I am happy you are actually happy and are AWARE of it. I think a lot of people think they aren't happy, but once they go past the point of no return realize they were happy how things were. Too late at that point though.

You have to be so selfish to do this to your kids. I have some family who have done this and it boggles my mind...especially when their spouses are so good to them and not giving them any reason to wonder.

 

They don't ask, trust me. And they always have a ring on their finger too. Usually a big doorknob.

 

Sooner AND later

I think it's hysterical when I see guys at the bar, not wearing their rings but, because they just took it off before they entered said bar, there's a mark and/or a tan line for a ring. Very subtle...

 

The unfortunate part to all this after having just gone through it, is you have absolutely no idea whats going on inside someone else's head. As much as you think you know someone your not getting the whole picture. It doesn't matter if you believe in the "I do" because if they don't it doesn't seem to add up to a whole hell of a lot anyways. My 2cents!

No worries, all the better for it now! Life has a funny way of working out as it should be in the run.

 

The short answer on sliders vs steps is if you think you might ever someday even once use them as proper sliders then get sliders - but sounds like you've come to that conclusion

As for kick-outs I think thats more personal preference for looks, but kick-outs are arguably very functional for protecting the back end of your truck. I want kick-outs on my DCLB as the truck is so long I may have to use the sliders to pivot if I get in a bind - I've got SOS sliders on there now and the kick-out is not as big as I would like - I got them second hand for a killer deal so I cant complain... but I may swap them out to another brand at somepoint, solely to gain a bigger kick-out. Ill get skids first though before I buy new sliders....

Have they gotten into slime yet? My cousins kids love slime, they have so much of it haha.

I wouldn't bother with the kick out unless you actually plan to run the truck off road. Just my $0.02. The sliders I had on my Taco had filler plates and were set to a flatter angle so they sat lower and further from the truck, more like you'd see with steps. Some sliders tuck up really tight to the rocker panel so they can't really be used for steps so keep that in mind when you order.

 

This is the thought/mentality I've come to about my own relationship. I've had a gut feeling that something isn't right about it but, I haven't been able to figure out why I have the feeling. My gf still makes me happy/treats me way better than I deserve, so it's not worth throwing it away. I wouldn't go about that by cheating, that's for sure. What you said about not realizing what you had is my main concern because it very well could be a me issue and not a her issue.

 

No argument about it. Kick outs are very functional to keep the back end of your truck away from harm. The people that don't get them don't mostly because they don't like they way they look.

@morri89 if you ask me my option I say get sliders set at 10* (it's a halfway point from normal to flat)(your supposed to slide off the rocks not get hung up on them) for the rocker panel protection and if you don't plan on wheeling much then decide if you want the kickouts or not
