Is there supposed to be a lot of overlap? So far I’m not finding a good fit for the OR stickers.

    Too many to count.
    Sub’d.

Any time frame on the new pieces with the wings that do not need to be stretched?

I’m 0-8 getting them lined up correctly. Stretching didn’t work for me with a hair dryer.

Anyone need oops stickers let me know I’ll mail them to you.

Worth a try! Probably just me.

My mindset was and is nobody is going to walk up and stare closely at your wheels.....well maybe one in 100 people

I know it would be hard to cut/print them... but I really wish:
1 - These could be made to be a full template to cover an entire wheel so that it would be wicked easy to line up and apply

    or

2 - Someone would fab up a nice powder coated aluminum template with some 3m adhesive that would apply and stick perfectly on the wheel.

I love the overall look of these but looks like the install can be problematic and temporary with it being in so many pieces. Very creative and it's working for a lot of folks so it's clearly filling a demand and @PikestacoSister should be very proud of taking advantage of a clear market need. But this would BLOW up IMO if there were an easier, more permanent solution along these lines. My $.02

I think option 1 would actually be WAY harder to do. If it was a whole wheel, and you’re off in one spot then you’re off even more in another. No way a wheel size piece of vinyl would be easier to apply.

Option 2 sounds cool if it is as done REALLY swell and with a high quality product. Otherwise I think it would come off looking like a Walmart hubcap type item. Even with that option you’d have to take the time and clean and prep and make sure placement is perfect.

But I see how the concept of both those ideas would be awesome.

If you watch the video, I don’t think it’s very difficult. It can be very time consuming and requires a ton of patience. But it can be done and can look amazing. But I’m also a mix of OCD and i love fishing. So I’m ok with taking the time and being patient.

Hoping I can get my sport vinyls on this week. Just got new tires and think it’s gonna look GREAT!

    This ^

I think if I didn’t have to stretch the wings I could have done it. That’s where the chrome was showing for the most part and the biggest issue I had.

I used my oops stickers plus some. I think I have around 18 left.

makes me glad i bought the 17" TRD Pro wheels. its a cool concept, but this just wouldn't work for me. the 1 person who would know is me, and it would drive me crazy if they weren't perfect. kudos to you guys for giving them a shot.

Yes. Did you watch the video? There is meant to be overlap to ensure full coverage of the wheel.

Eventually I’ll be getting those TRD wheels but this is a great alternative for now.

I had that exact thought after I applied the vinyl and I spent way more time then most to try and get them perfect. Then I ended up having a wheel replaced with the dealer after they scratched a wheel repairing a leak in one of the tires. The service manager had no idea I put vinyl on the wheels. This is even standing two feet from them. The only ones who are going to know are us or a trained eye.

Let's not forget that these vinyls cost $35-$40. They're not going to compare to a $700 set of new wheels. I for one do not want to spend that kind of money on new wheels right now. My Sport vinyls have arrived and I plan to take my time this weekend to make sure they look as good as possible, then will remove the Toyota emblem from the center cap and put on the resin TRD center cap decals for some added flare. I think that combo looks great on the ORs that have done it and I hope for the same on the Sport.

no, I get it guys. its a cheap way to make your stock wheels look better. I get that point. but, I just wouldn't be happy with it no matter how close to perfect I could get them. for about the same price I could PlastiDip them and that would completely cover the machined part of the wheel (they aren't chrome). but again, that wouldn't work for me personally. I am glad you guys are using them, really I am. I welcome anyone to make their vehicles their own. kudos to PikestacoSister for coming up with these for both the Sport and OffRoad. it seems there is a genuine need and want for them.
