Yeah, I'd have to. I'm nowhere near wealthy, but I think I am doing pretty well when I put it into perspective and acknowledge that I make a public school district salary. I'd hate to have one thing happen that suddenly cancels out every one of my responsible financial decisions.

 

If they don't already make it that way, I'm sure you could buy the fabric and have it put on there. Heck, for the fun of it, I'm sure my mom would be able to do it, so I could have her do it for you! It'd be a good laugh!

That's just it, it's the fiscal responsibility. I know people at my company who make more than me but have a ton of debt, or just spend their money partying. You worked hard to set yourself up a certain way, you don't want that taken away

Sort of. The expanded metal seems like it would be a PITA to touch up though. I went this route:

 

I have 3M gritty tape on the F'n'J sliders.
After scraping my leg the first few times getting out when I had shorts on, I learned to adapt.

 

How long was the time gap? maybe you got uglier

Double cab short bed? would those also fit an access cab?

 

Same on my FJ. Though I still have to climb on the seats if I've got the roof box on to access it.
