South Carolina BS thread under new MANAGEMENT and lives in SC

Again tho, they could NOT guarantee that anything related to the 15 new was not affected by flooding we had here and in the Gulf. They were actually kinda shady even discussing it. So it really pissed me off on the whole process...and the price new was not far off from even used 2011's we saw. The risk was not worth it to me is all. At least I got my Tacoma and have a warranty and such. I do like the later 2nd gens tho But I am happy with what I have and it serves what I need it for. All good Plus, it let me hang out here with all you crazy fookers from SC too!

Got offered another job down there so that’s a plus! Gunna keep searching around and checking what’s out there. Less then 2 months now until the move. A beautiful day here today, 20 mph wind with a high of 27....

Not surprising. The economy here in the upstate is booming! Congrats on another offer.

 

I was shocked when I started looking for jobs. I have a solid back ground as a diesel mechanic. Worked for Cummins as a road tech and did a few years in the strip mines working on heavy equipment.
There are more mechanic and equipment jobs in that region then I could have imagined! I think with all of these factories and business coming into and around the Greenwood area it’s gunna boom.

 

Cool, I know who to come to when I decide to put the Cummins R2.8 in my Rover.

 

My great grandfather and his father, most of my uncle's worked the strip pits in PA. Grandfather worked for Penndot and PA deputy game warden after retiring from the air force.
Most of my cousins are all PA game management around Clearfield, Altoona, philipsburgh.

Brother works for Webs super-gro as a diesel mech there in Williamsport.

I cut my teeth riding dirt bikes in the old strip mines. Good times.

 

Riding has always been great around here.
I stepped away from the Diesel scene when the gas industry died off around here. Went and tried federal corrections for a while.
Wasn’t a terrible gig but my god the hours sucked. Needed a job though since the wife was in med school. Figured with moving down there I won’t know anyone and I’m to young to be retired.
In a weird, sick, twisted way I miss the bloody knuckles and cursing putting a piece of shit back together haha
