Unfortunately the spacers end up needing to be required to get the tires off the frame though. That's what lead me to getting mine, my 32's rubbed the frame like a mother fucker. Solid guide though.

Sealed bearing, grease will eat the rubber I guess.

I replaced the timing belt in august along with all the other belts so sometime between then and now it must have fallen out.

I didn't grease mine, shouldn't have to grease it.

Didn't have to put any grease in my OEM Toyota one, with aftermarket junk I would be surprised if there's no grease or used kitchen grease out of a Chinese kitchen

has anyone ever run wheel spacers on only the rears? Does it affect the handling significantly? Im poking way too much on the fronts after the new wheels and am hitting the fender a bit when turning. I figure it might be good to run spacers on the rears though to keep trees away after the slider kickout :notsure:

I do and lots of others with long travel kits do.

That said, keeping the rear narrower then the front will make your turning radius better.

Also..the whole point of the slider kick out is to keep your truck away from the trees :p

You're saying that the new wheels poke out more in the front then the rear??

Made the initial mistake of going cheap through Amazon and the $8 filter leaked...not to mention the bracket broke as it was rusted. Came to my senses and bought OEM with the bracket...lesson learned.

I did not know the rears affected turning radius, good to know. The wheels all poke the same but the fronts are rubbing really bad with the 1.25 spacers so Im gonna take spacers off just the fronts. What I meant by keeping trees away is after I hit a tree with the kickout Id prefer to keep it that extra 1.25" away at the wheel well lol, but I also secretly don't want to completely get rid of my wide look :anonymous: Side note: shaving calipers, the wheel is still like probably less than a millimeter away from the caliper, thats acceptable right?

welp, I did it on a whim yesterday...been thinking about it for awhile but had hard time justifying the cost. Called up Tuff Stuff about their Delta tent ($899) and they said I could have it for $800 cash if I picked it up in person, so I drove an hour to go get it.

Haven't gotten it setup completely yet (naively thought I could do it myself in under an hour last night, didn't happen). Thing is heavy and awkward AF. Looking forward to having it for my Mojave Road trip in a couple weeks though.

Gonna have to upgrade the leafs, the 3 leaf AALs aren't going to cut it with this tent back there.

ah so your rubbing up front due to the wide wheels.

I had just rears on for like a day or two. Looks kinda funky to me. But you could do it.

Id just cut the damn fenders flares..haha

You'll likely rub the calipers a bit under hard cornering and if the wheels flex. Not sure what wheels you have but my steel wheels do that on Frank and rub the caliper just a touch when cornering hard.

I don't have flares, its rubbing the actual fender, Id beat it in but I think it'd still rub the fender among other things when flexing. I was afraid of taking too much material off the calipers but Ill shave more if I can

    Will a 97 hood fit a 00? I don’t think so but they’re similar

i think they are the same actually. Didn't change until 01. But i don't own a 98-00 and never had inspected one closely really.

According to eBay you can buy a hood for an 95-00. So I guess they are the same. A local guy is selling a fiberglass hood from a 97 with a skewp so I'm tempted ha
