Gladly! Tell me a time and place and I'll either bring or pay for the beer! I love learning these things. (I may have to bring my tent to pass out in afterwards because I don't drink and motorcycle though... and I don't drive my truck when there is chance of traffic in the Bay Area.)

Just to be transparent...Iggy nor Phil have asked me to review, respond about or promote the Drifter. I’m providing info on my own accord based on DM questions I’ve received. My model and perspectives are all based on this prototype, not the soon to occur market release models. With @Iggy and @Overlanerd at the helm of production, things can (and have) only gotten better from the V1!

    3E128F19-42BD-42B3-9550-B38BC7D2E470.jpg
I just spent the last 5 days literally traversing Southern to Northern California with the V1 installed. I had some concerns about it possibly being top heavy. I can tell you that not only does it feel like part of the bed, it literally feels like the weight is IN the bed! This was huge for me knowing how much I actually take my rig offroad.

The other plus I noticed was the lower than expected wind noise! There is barely any. Even when cross winds through the Mojave were rippin’ through the 395, I only felt a slight tug. Similar to having a Softopper on but with the V1 I was much more confident it wasn’t going to fly off.

MPG difference with a full bed load out of gear and tools...-1 mpg!!!!

Just my .02 on a V1 build that rest assured, is only getting better for market release models!

So, how many V1's were made? FWIW, I liked the combo barn door & hatch configuration.

After going back through the pages of this thread...methinks my imagination got the best of me on the combo barn & hatch door dealio; a pigment of my imagination apparently :D.

1 mpg change is damn good. This was with full camping loadout inside the camper?
