It would appear that the Pro is a bit taller in order to account for the higher approach angle.

    I stand corrected.

You’re also figuring in the spoiler on the sport and the difference in factory skid on the OR vs the pro skid
    Those measurements mean squat

So the TRD Sport I got has leather heated seats like the Pro, but no red stiching. It Does NOT have crawl or looking rear. But it has a Scoop and bigger sway bars. Sport also has different suspension than the OR and Pro and 17" tires instead of 16"
So in short, even if you add all the TRD Pro stuff to the Sport, you still won't have red stiching on the seats, Crawl or looking rear. I don't offroad, so I didn't want Crawl or looking rear. For me this way (even though it was more money) was better than the Pro for me because I wanted Grey Metalic and Moonroof

Why does the Pro have so much lower of a departure angle?

I think it's the balls sack hanging from the trailer hitch.

1" lift from 3rd gen suspension, 265/75/16 ATs
Doesn't 3rd gen Pro have a different leaf pack providing a bit more lift as well? I believe I've read that at some point on TW, but I may be wrong. I know 2nd gen did not.

If the front is higher than the rear would be lower on departure angle given the rear is the same heigth. I think.

It’s not as simple as is it taller

You have different options, packages, weights and tire sizes to account for.

You'd be better off getting an off-road then get the hook scoop lol.

At least then you get the same truck minus suspension and looks. But you get the locking diff and multi terrain
